InRuTou tools available for the Baltic countries

InRuTou training materials were included in the virtual library created within BSRESDN, an educational network operating in all Baltic countries.

The Baltic Sea Region Network on Education for Sustainable Development – BSRESDN, was initiated in autumn 2012. The network unites all Baltic countries, including Ukraine. Green Dossier play an active role in the project. The idea of establishing a BSRESDN rests on the critical assumption that a significant number of individuals and relevant organizations in the public and private domain in the countries of the Baltic Sea Region consider that multi-stakeholder networking across sectors and national borders and among ESD practitioners, researchers, and policymakers will create the necessary momentum for advancing ESD – and thus SD considerations and practices – in the region. In the frame of the project two big Baltic conferences were arranged (about 200 participants each), more than 200 members are active in the network for today, and about 2000 people were reached with information.

One of the most important components of the project is developing learning materials on SD. A special “material workshop” was held in Tuulinge, Estonia on 1 – 3 June 2015. The participants analyzed needs and opportunities in education for SD (based also on the suggestions from both Baltic conferences) and decided to start creating a virtual library. Of cause, the library will be replenished by materials, some of them will be translated to suitable for the network members languages. InRuTou learning platform and pedagogical approach were included in the first basic materials of the virtual library.
